We're just over the county line in Corby, so this area is close to home. Send us a date and a real person will come back to you, usually the same day. Tell us about the party and we'll do the legwork.
Halls and play centres in town
St Dionysius Community Hall on Coventry Road has a main hall, side room and kitchen, with parking at the back. It's a simple, practical space for a party show, and the side room is handy for stashing presents and coats.
Mini Mischiefs on the Three Manors Retail Park is the town's indoor play and party venue. If you go for one of their parties, it'll be their package, so check with them before planning anything extra. Their staff will explain what's included and how the timings work.
Car parking near the town centre can be tight on a Saturday, so a hall with its own spaces is worth a lot. It means grandparents aren't walking half a mile with a cake tin.
Home parties work well here
With smaller guest lists, a party at home is often easier. Clear the living room, put the dog in the garden and let the magician take over.
You'll need space for the children to sit on the floor and a spot for the entertainer to stand. That's genuinely about it. A rug on the floor makes it feel extra special for little ones.
Move anything breakable first, though. Excited six-year-olds and Grandma's vase don't mix.
Toddler birthdays
Lots of Harborough parties are first, second or third birthdays. For that age, a children's entertainer in Market Harborough should keep things short, gentle and full of joining in. Shorter is better here, honestly.
Have a look at our toddler party entertainer page for the sort of show that suits under-fives. And if you're after general inspiration, our kids birthday party ideas post is a good place to start.
First birthdays especially are as much for the grown-ups as the baby. A gentle show with some songs keeps the toddlers interested while everyone else catches up over a cuppa.
Out in the villages
Great Bowden, Kibworth and Lubenham all have their own halls. Rural venues can be tricky to find, so put a postcode on the quote form and we'll pass it on.
And if the hall has a park next door, even better. A run-around before the show helps everyone settle down to watch.
Village halls also tend to be booked by locals first, so ring early. Some book a year ahead for summer Saturdays.
