We're Party Magicians, part of Fine Entertainments Ltd in Corby. One form, a reply from a real person, and nothing's booked until you're happy.
Community halls Bristol families book
St Werburghs Community Centre offers children's party rates on its main hall and several smaller rooms, and it has a kitchen you can hire too. You download a booking form and send it in, which is about as old-school as it gets. It works though.
North of the city, Little Stoke Community Hall lists children's parties among its regular bookings. Plenty of other neighbourhood halls do the same, so ask around at the school gate.
Many of these halls are run by small teams or volunteers, so replies can take a day or two. Don't let that put you off. They're often the friendliest places to hold a party, and the rates are usually kind to the budget.
Hills, terraces and getting the kit in
Bristol's steep streets and tight terraces in places like Totterdown and Bedminster are lovely until you're carrying a speaker up three flights of steps. If your party is at home, let us know about stairs and parking when you enquire.
It sounds minor. But a relaxed entertainer who's had time to set up puts on a better show than one who's been circling for a parking space.
Same goes for the hall. Ask which door is closest to the car and whether there's a lift or ramp if the room is upstairs.
Choosing a kids party magician in Bristol
Think about who's coming. Four-year-olds need short bursts of fun and lots of joining in. Eight-year-olds want proper mysteries they can try to work out. Our kids party magician page explains what usually goes into each kind of show.
Most of our entertainers can include games, music and prizes, and plenty offer balloon modelling too. We'll confirm exactly what's included for your booking.
If you've got a mix of ages, mention it. Younger brothers and sisters often come along, and a good entertainer keeps them involved without slowing the show down for the older ones.
Questions worth asking anyone you book
How much space do they need? Do they bring their own music? Are they DBS checked and insured? Any decent entertainer, ours included, will answer those happily.
When you're ready, send your date through the quote form. We'll take it from there.
Also ask how long they'll need to set up, and whether they're happy to run the games while you sort the food. Most are, but it's nice to know in advance.
